Work year begins ESCEG Scientific Council

With the presence of Dr.C Mercedes Delgado Fernández, rector of the Escuela Superior de Cuadros del Estado y del Gobierno (ESCEG), the first work session of the Scientific Council corresponding to the year 2023 was held, where important issues about the behavior and development of the activity of Science, Technology and Innovation in the school. In the meeting, the Secretary of the Scientific Council, Dr.C Gabriel Montesinos, presented the results achieved in the year, highlighting the evaluation of Overcompliance of the process and its contribution to the Strategic Objectives of the period, highlighting as important results of the period; the integration of scientific research and innovation, with postgraduate academic training, the participation of 47.6% of professors in four projects associated with national science, technology and innovation programs (PAPN), which are developed in strategic sectors , including an international project, the execution of the institutional project (PNAP) "Contribution to the Impact of the Overcoming of Public and Business Administration Cadres" has favored the preparation of cadres, results in local development and in strategic sectors, the consultancies, training and postgraduate courses with the EVA and other platforms contribute to the preparation of cadres of local governments and entities of the country, the relevant academic, scientific and social recognitions with the Cuban Academy of Sciences Award and CITMA Provincial Awards in Havana , the doctoral training developed, the growth and visibility of the Cuban Magazine of Admin Public and Business istration and the participation of various ESCEG professors in 17 scientific and expert working groups, which advise important political, social and economic processes in the country.

The analyzes developed at the meeting also made it possible to define the priorities for the year and approve the plan of topics of the Scientific Council for the same period. Topics such as doctoral training, the development of scientific-technical services and attention to the institutional project of the center, drew the attention of the participants, who offered new analyzes and proposals, which will contribute to continue consolidating the activity of science, technology and innovation. in the middle.
