Students of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration are updated in Civil Defense

The students participating in the V edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration that takes place at the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) developed a fruitful exchange with First Colonel Ángel Luis Macareño Véliz, second chief of the General Staff of the Civil Defense of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of his conference, as part of the diploma study program. The occasion served to resume the events that occurred as a result of hurricanes Oscar and Rafael, which hit the nation in recent days and also address the incidents caused by the earthquakes that occurred in the east of the country. The analyzes carried out demonstrated the importance of the preparation required to face, more and more, events of this magnitude where managers must play a fundamental role. The students evaluated the exchange and the good practices learned very positively.
The activity took place in the facilities of the Escuela Ramal de Correos de Cuba, which jointly offered its spaces to provide continuity to the teaching activities of the ESCEG, given the recovery activity that the center was undertaking, due to the meteorological event that hit the west of the country.
