As part of the academic training received by students enrolled in the 10th edition of the Postgraduate Specialization in Public Administration at the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG), a best practices visit was held at the National Institute of Endocrinology as part of the Public and Population Policies course, coordinated by Dr. Marlenys Martínez Clapé.

The meeting was chaired by its director, Dr. Erick Robles Torres, a graduate of the specialty in its 8th edition. He presented the results achieved by the hospital institution in tertiary healthcare, emphasizing compliance with the sector's public policies and the preventive, educational, and curative approach to diabetes mellitus, given its significant impact on the health of the Cuban population.
