The strategic prospective opening opportunities for Municipal Governance in Boyeros

Achieving shared visions for the development of the Boyeros municipality of the Cuban capital was the purpose of the Workshop on Strategic Foresight developed by Dr.C Lydia Garrigó Andreu, professor at the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG). The vice mayors of the municipality, vice president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, main directors of the Municipal Party, members of the Local Development group of the Territory and Professor María Mercedes Machín Hernández, head of the Department of Public Administration of the ESCEG and coordinator of the work with the municipality, participated in the meeting.

The workshop made it possible to jointly define the vision of the territory and advance in the determination of key variables for the prospective development of the municipality. With the completion of this preparation and improvement activity, a work project is started to generate capacities in the main managers, which contributes to better municipal governance. The ESCEG and the Government of Boyeros have signed a collaboration agreement since 2021.
