Recognition of ESCEG teacher at national awards ceremony for Educator's Day

With the Frank País Order of first and second degrees, the José Tey Medal and the Distinction For Cuban Education dozens of educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching were recognized on December 12. At the national awards ceremony, headed by President Díaz-Canel - Doctor in Technical Sciences and university professor - Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, was also present; Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, deputy prime minister; Walter Baluja García, Minister of Higher Education, along with other authorities of the Party and the Government.
At the event, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, presented 20 outstanding professors of Higher Education with the “Frank País” Order of the first degree, among whom was Dr. C. José Miguel Valdés Portal, head of the Computer Science department at the Higher School of State and Government Cadres.
