The Rafael María de Mendive Distinction is imposed on ESCEG workers
The National Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers, in use of the powers conferred on them, and in accordance with Law 17 of the System of Decorations and Honorary Titles, of the Council of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, in order to propose the creation and granting of Decorations, Honorary Titles and Distinctions, Rafael María de Mendive awarded the Distinction to nine workers from the Superior School of State and Government Staff, who for 20.25 and more have his life to the beautiful work of educating, showing an exemplary conduct in correspondence with the revolutionary principles. The recognized colleagues were: Bárbara Susana Sánchez Vignau, Marlenys Martínez Clapé, Lydia María Garrigó Andreu, Martín Irián Barrios Rivero, René Roberto Betancourt Caballero, Julio Pérez Izquierdo, Víctor Gámez Fonseca, Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón and José Miguel Valdés Portal.
The awarding of the Distinction to these valuable companions served as a pretext to also pay tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, who unconditionally defended revolutionary ideas and the principles of social justice, promoting with his example a work of infinite love for Cuba .
