PNCTI Workshop “Management and Work with Staff”




On July 2, the PNCTI Workshop "Management and Work with Cadres" was held at the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG). It was chaired by the President of the PNCTI, Dr. C. Carlos Cristóbal Martínez, and the Secretary, Dr. C. Gabriel Montesino Figueroa, who also explained the workshop agenda, outlined the main outcomes and planned activities, including funding. Yusely González Rodríguez, Senior Policy Specialist at the Directorate of Strategic Programs and Projects, participated on behalf of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment (CITMA). The workshop featured a presentation on "Considerations on the Implementation of the Strategy for the Application of the Cadre Policy in the 2021-2026 Period" by Rosario del Pilar Pentón Díaz, Director of the Center for Sociopolitical Studies and Opinion. Subsequently, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG), gave a presentation on the main results of the PAPN "Overcoming and preparing state and government staff based on competencies" as project leader. The head of the PAPN "The professional competencies of political cadres in their specialized political leadership work," Dr. C. Alina de las M. Moreno Gómez, a methodologist at the Training Department of the Ñico López University of the Communist Party of Cuba, presented the results achieved.
Subsequently, several participants spoke. The CITMA specialist explained the changes introduced in the new Management Manual for the Science, Technology, and Innovation Programs and Projects System. Finally, it was agreed to hold another Workshop in November 2025 to present new projects and continue the schedule of approved projects, as well as to present the results of other research tasks assigned to several of the Program's experts.
