The "Online Seminar on Administrative Management for Cuban ministerial-level officials" begins on June 5




On June 5, the "Seminar on Administrative Management for Cuban ministerial-level officials" begins online, taught by the National Academy of the Interior of China and organized jointly with the Higher School of State and Government Cadres of Cuba, as part of the courses that are developed between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba and the Ministry of Commerce of China, also thanking the Embassies of both countries. The opening speech is made by Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of ESCEG and Ms. Duan Hong Xia, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao International Training Center of the National Academy of Government of China. The Rector, Mercedes, highlights the ties of friendship and cooperation between the Higher School of State and Government Cadres and the National Academy of Governance of China, which have been consolidated and strengthened since the first Memorandum of Understanding signed in November 2014, between our institutions, to exchange and cooperate in training and scientific research in the fulfillment of our missions. She highlights the completion of more than 60 courses between our institution with various academies and institutions of the People's Republic of China, through which more than 2,500 cadres, officials and teachers have been trained. Also, we are pleased to announce that this year we have developed another multilateral seminar in the month of March and in the second semester we must hold a joint seminar with the Chinese Academy of Governance at our School, and at the same time, we will hold visits and exchanges from our delegations. He expresses that with pride and satisfaction he inaugurates this course with 50 participants from 22 different institutions, of which 94% are executives at the ministerial and university level and the rest are reserves of cadres and specialists. At the same time, he expressed that the Seminar that will be held from June 5 to 11, which includes topics such as Xi Jinping's thought on governance, government functions and administrative efficiency, economic development, the China's reform and opening up, urban renewal, 5G development, public policy formulation and implementation, and enhancement of digital governance capabilities, among others.
To the colleagues in China, he conveys the conviction that, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, the Party and with the commitment and effort of the people, will achieve the goals in the comprehensive construction of a powerful modern socialist country until the year 2035 and until mid-century with the transformation of China into a powerful, prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful modern socialist country. It points out that the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in congratulating Xi Jinping on his re-election as Secretary General of the Communist Party of China, ratified the invariable will of continue promoting the political orientation of the exemplary ties between the two Parties, governments and peoples, based on friendship and brotherhood, which we will continue working to expand, strengthen and perfect, "so that they contribute to the sustainable development of our nations, to the well-being of their peoples, to the irreversibility and vitality of socialism worldwide.
Finally, he predicts that the objectives of the Seminar will be met, new learning will be generated and we will demonstrate once again the intimate historical ties of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation that exist between our countries and peoples, that in the year 2023 we will celebrate 63 years of relations diplomatic relations between Cuba and China.
