On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced to the world, the COVID19 pandemic and from that moment, Cuba began a battle of commitment and science to confront it. After a year of hard struggle, the Higher School of State and Government Tables (ESCEG), recognizes and remembers the work carried out in this combat every day. Many are the pages of dedication and love in this period, but without a doubt the exploits of our health personnel and our scientists are the best example. Today we accumulate thousands of experiences that we share with the world and we have five vaccine candidates of our own, which make us stronger and more sovereign before the world.
In this battle, Cuban universities also grew and without neglecting classes, they altruistically supported the confrontation with COVID19, turning university spaces into hospitals and isolation centers. The ESCEG also joined this fight as an isolation center, fulfilling the assigned tasks with responsibility and discipline.
It has been a year of shared experiences and knowledge, with lessons that will remain for the future, accompanied by a committed people and under the leadership of a Party and a Government that have always said Yes We Can, embracing hope and life.
