Students enrolled in the 6th edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration at the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) participated in important morning lectures given by the Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba, Miriam Marban González, and Alejandro García del Toro, Director of Bilateral Affairs for the General Directorate of the United States, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of their teaching schedule. The lecture, led by the Comptroller General of the Republic, addressed the Prevention and Confrontation of Indiscipline, Crimes, and Corruption, high-priority issues in the leadership of State and Government staff and reserves. It provided an opportunity to gain insight into the activities of the body, its work systems, and the results achieved in the internal control audit processes carried out in the country. The debates demonstrated the need to continue exploring the topic in depth, from positions of commitment and revolutionary ethics. For his part, the MINREX official updated the participants on the actions the US is carrying out against Cuba through an economic blockade that is intensifying amid a highly complex situation. The opportunity provided an opportunity to analyze the latest measures approved by the Trump Administration and their consequences for regional and global geopolitics, as well as their immediate effects on the Cuban nation. Faculty members and school administrators participated in both activities.
