The international workshop "Administrative reform, socioeconomic innovation and digital transformation: international and Vietnamese experience, and involvement for Cuba" is successfully developed

Protected by the Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2019, between the Superior School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) and the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, The international workshop "Administrative reform, socioeconomic innovation and digital transformation: international and Vietnamese experience, and involvement for Cuba" was held on October 31, 2022, organized jointly by both institutions. The opening words of the virtual exchange were in charge , on the Cuban side, by Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of the ESCEG and, on the Vietnamese side, by the Deputy Director of NAPA, Mr. Dr. Nguyen Dang Que. The virtual meeting was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Mr. Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén, and other Embassy officials. For Cuba, directors, officials and specialists from ministries, institutes, state bodies, national entities, universities, research centers, associations and business groups participated, as well as directors and professors from ESCEG. On the Vietnamese side, directors and professors from NAPA were present, as well as directors and officials from various ministries and territorial organizations. Rosabel Gamón Verde, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, and Grisel Reyes León, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Communications, participated in the International Workshop as speakers for Cuba. The papers presented dealt with the following topics: "Overview of the administrative reform in updating the economic and social model in Cuba", and "Digital transformation in Cuba: current situation and challenges". On the Vietnamese side, Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, Deputy Director of NAPA, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Organization and Personnel Management of NAPA and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The papers presented dealt with the following topics: "Renewal of thinking on economic growth for the development of the country and political implications for Cuba", "Public administration reform for socioeconomic development in Vietnam: achievements, challenges and perspectives" and, “Digital Transformation for Public Administration Renewal and Reform Requirements in Vietnam.” Collaborative relations between ESCEG and NAPA, which began in 2019, are strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, for education, training and scientific research.
