III Edition of the Training of the quarry of fundamental positions of the country

On January 30, the III Edition of the Training of the youth ranks for key positions in the country begins at the ESCEG, inaugurated by the Head of the Directorate of State and Government Cadres, Miguel Mario Cabrera Castellanos, and the Rector of the university, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, with the participation of 12 students. The first week they receive a preparation in content and skills to be trained in the cadres in topics such as: managerial skills, generic competencies of the cadres, organization and government planning, Cuban political system and legislative activity, comprehensive diagnosis and projection of innovations, strategic prospective, strategy for the application of the cadre policy of the 8th PCC Congress, work system with State and Government cadres, government information system, control panels and comprehensive control panel of the government, digital transformation and the interpretation of the budget for decision making.
In that first week several cadres were there and gave classes to the students, such as the Secretary of the Council of State, the Minister of Finance and Prices, the First Secretary of the PCC in Havana and the provincial Governor of Havana, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Communications, First Deputy Chief of the National Office of Statistics and Information, the Head of the Directorate of State and Government Cadres, the Rectors of the Higher School of the "Ñico López" Party and of the Higher School of State and Government cadres, among others.
During another 4 weeks, the students go through training with the Deputy Prime Ministers and in the last week with the teams of mayors of the municipalities of Havana. At the end of that week, they defend an innovation project at ESCEG in teams made up of three students, all of them from different types of activities and responsibilities, both in public and business administration.
