The Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) promotes University-Government-Business links as part of the policy for government management based on Science, Technology and Innovation based on Local Development.


In the conduct of the Territorial/local Development policy that is carried out in the country and in order to achieve autonomy and sustainable economic and social development for the improvement of the quality of life of Cuban society; The role of the university scientific community plays a fundamental role in the preparation and training of the various local actors that interact in the dynamics of local government public management. In this scenario, the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) promotes University-Government-Business links as part of the policy for government management based on Science, Technology and Innovation based on Local Development, and supports the training and training of institutional political actors of the Municipal Government. This important work meeting considered the first Training Meeting for Local Development Management where the ESCEG was represented by the Head of the AP department, MSc María Mercedes Machín and Professor MSc. Yeny Pareta Díaz and the Municipal Government participated from the Boyeros Local Development Group, the Vice President who deals with economic affairs, the Directorates of Finance and Prices, Economy and Planning, respectively, among other participants. The training includes topics related to the normative bases for the implementation of Territorial Development, the Municipal Development Strategy (EDM), the Evaluation of Local Development Projects and their financing.
The meeting was considered an important step to continue advancing in actions to strengthen University-Government-Business links in the Boyeros municipality, as part of the policy for Government management based on Science, Technology and Innovation based on Local Development.
