Head of the Cuban Government exchanges with the Ministry of Higher Education (MES)

The Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz presided in the morning today, the exchange carried out with the Ministry of Higher Education with the aim of presenting the fulfillment of the country's priorities and the organization's projections for 2021. The main executives of the Ministry and the governing councils of the Universities, this time by videoconference from the Provincial Committees of the Party.
In the working meeting, in which colleagues Roberto Morales Ojeda, Inés María Chapman and Olga Lidia Tapia also participated, the important role played by Cuban Universities in the confrontation with COVID19 and in the Ordering Task was valued, highlighting the work responsible and committed of professors and students of the university community. It was argued by those present the importance of continuing the link with the country's impact tasks, intending the University-Society relationship with the use of science and innovation, increasing preparation with the support of information and communication technologies, among other priorities.
In the conclusions of the meeting, the Cuban premier evaluated as very positive the response of the Cuban university community to the challenges of facing COVID in 2020 and its commitment to different impact tasks in the country. Marrero Cruz, on behalf of the Cuban government thanked the Higher Education System, especially its teachers, students and workers and expressed the need to continue stimulating the Cuban University link in the search for solutions to problems that exist today.
When the Prime Minister said in the meeting held, highlighting the work carried out in the year, "Face-to-face teaching was affected, but the Cuban University has never been in Quarantine"
