Graduation of the 6th edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration




On April 30, 34 executives from 31 agencies, central state administration bodies, national entities, and various business groups will graduate. Over a 10-week period, they received a variety of knowledge and tools, including an update on policies, regulations, and projections. Several executive speakers, including the Secretary of the Council of State and the Comptroller General of the Republic, participated, along with the faculty, recognized by students for their quality, dedication, professionalism, and excellence. Also in the survey administered to executives at the end of the diploma course, they rated their meaning using the following most frequently used words: updating, knowledge, learning, management skills, professionalism, discipline, opportunity, professional development and growth, innovation, foresight, vision, future, challenge, artificial intelligence, teamwork, friendship, love, integrity, integration, unity, and Revolution. In his remarks, the student representative of the group emphasized that the Diploma provided opportunity, development, unity, transformation, progress, learning, exchanges, political and ideological strengthening, tools, digital transformation, improved communication, camaraderie, teamwork, ethics, sensitivity, solidarity, and discipline. This Diploma provided us with professional growth and better preparation to contribute to the sustainability of our socialist project and the prosperity that our people, whom we serve unconditionally, deserve. He also called on the remaining graduates to complete the cycle, implement the proposed innovations, measure the impact, correct, and continue improving in order to achieve superior results.
At the closing ceremony, the Rector of ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, addressed the students, highlighting the quality of the final projects they defended and the diversity of knowledge and methods they received, which generate skills and, in conjunction with their responsibilities, have allowed them to assimilate competencies for their performance as managers. She also stated that with this graduation, 1,949 graduates have been achieved across the 24 editions of the Diplomas in Public Administration, Business Management and Administration, and the six editions of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration. In addition, other programs include postgraduate specialties in Public Administration and Business Management, with 313 graduates in nine editions; training for key positions, with eight editions and 91 graduates; and, with other training programs, courses, and seminars, the total number of graduates has reached more than 18,000 since our School's creation in 2011. The Rector was presented with a portrait of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the historic leader of the Revolution and to whom the graduation ceremony was dedicated.
Finally, after taking the group photo, as is customary at ESCEG, the students planted the tree in the graduates' forest.
