Graduates of Diplomas leaders of the State and the Government

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and First Vice-president of the Councils of State and of Ministers, presided over the graduation ceremony of 60 leaders, graduates of the XII edition of the Diploma in Public Administration and Management and Business Management.

 Mercedes Delgado, Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres(ESCEG), highlighted the depth of the debates and analyzes raised as part of the curricula, in searching for solutions.

 With this promotion, the total graduates of the ESCEG in both specialties, achieved the one thousand 83, estimated at 13 thousand 464 graduates throughout the country, she said.

The Rector also acknowledged the quality of the final papers presented, in which topics related to the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution and the objectives of its First Conference were discussed, as well as standing out for its relevance and depth.

 Delgado pondered the integration of the groups in the realization of visits, workshops and other joint activities, and meant that for the first time three production chains were formed between companies from different sectors of the economy.

She announced that next year new strategies will be evaluated to guarantee updating and permanent communication with the graduates, through the use of computer technologies and communications.

On behalf of the graduates in Public Administration, Indira Fajardo said that the 10 weeks of preparation were the starting point and continuity of professional development, as well as motivating the discussions, divergences, questions and deep comments of the students.

As real public officials we are called to innovate, raise the quality of life of people, promote economic growth and ensure citizen peace, she said.

A graduate of the same specialty, Inés Maria Chapman added that this diploma course was a starting point to open more minds to the transformations of the country, in addition to acquiring new methods in pursuit of a better actions for the benefits of the Cuban society and its economy.

 The companionship and the extraordinary quality of the teaching were highlighted by Eduardo Ojito, a graduate of Management and Business Management, who added that today they have comprehensive visions in order to project companies and efficient management systems.

The graduates in these specialties are part of the preparation and training of Cuban leaders and officials, a task in which the Army General Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers has insisted.
