Fruitful participation of the ESCEG in the International University Congress 2024
The Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) present at the 14th International Congress of Higher Education "Higher Education of the Future: social transformation, quality, relevance and sustainability". University 2024, since its inauguration on February 5, 2024 with a stand, presentations at various Symposiums, meeting of Rectors Cuba-Russia, Cuba-Brazil and Cuba-Hungary, Forum of Ministers and Authorities of Higher Education, Project with France FSPI - Cuba Innovates and Internationalization, plenary sessions, as well as socialization and exchanges of experiences, until the closing on February 9.
The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez participated in the inauguration of the Congress accompanied by Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State and Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and the Minister of Higher Education, Walter Baluja García. The Congress hosts seven symposiums, which make up 26 workshops, receiving 2,225 papers presented in person and virtual modalities.
Among the main results achieved by the ESCEG, the 13 collaboration agreements signed stand out, with the International Collaboration Group of Brazilian universities GCUB, 10 Brazilian universities, 1 Russian university and with the University of Granma. The signing of new agreements and various activities is planned for national and international collaboration.
