ESCEG visits the National Academy of Government of China

Within the framework of the collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba (MINCEX) and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), a delegation from the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) participated in the "Multilateral Seminar on Government Effectiveness and Efficiency for Developing Countries", given by the National Academy of Government of China (ANGCh), in the People's Republic of China from July 10 to 23, 2023. 40 people were present at the seminar participants from 15 countries: Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, Suriname, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Kiribati and China as promoter of the seminar. The Rector, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, and the Vice-rector for international relations, Dr. C. Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón, participated for the ESCEG. The conferences given at the ANGCh were very useful for the ESCEG, among them: government innovation, digital governance, community of shared human destiny and construction of "One Belt and One Road", green development, economic development, reform and opening, modernization of China and Xi Jinping's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics for a new era. The visits of good practices in the cities of the province of Jilin, Yanji, Changbai and Changchun, allowed to verify in practice the contents received, which included the headquarters of the leading state-owned company of China First Automobile Group, in Changchun.
During the visit, the Rector of the ESCEG held several exchanges with the main directors and academics of the ANGCh, the organizing institution of the Seminar, with which the ESCEG began collaborative relations in 2014. As part of the activities carried out, she met with Xie Chuntao, Vice Chancellor of the Central Party School (vice president of the ANGCh) and "in charge of daily work" Exchanged with Li Yi, Vice President of the ANGCh, with whom on July 5 the ESCEG signed the fourth MoU of continuity of the collaboration. He exchanged with Xie Yutong, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao International Training Center of the National Academy of Government of China, He developed exchanges with other directors and professors of the ANGCh to assess the impacts of the training developed between both institutions since 2015, reaching the figure of more than 25 courses in Cuba and China with more than 1000 participants. Similarly, she visited the Electronic Government Laboratory of the Electronic Government Research Center, which is located at the ANGCh headquarters. Finally, new collaborative actions between the ESCEG and the ANGCh were projected.
