ESCEG participates in Municipal Workshop on Integrated Community Work in Boyeros



With the presence of the president of the Municipal Assembly of the Boyeros municipality, its vice president and the vice mayor for economic care, the Municipal Workshop on Integrated Community Work was held in Boyeros, to analyze the results achieved in different districts of the territory. The meeting became a space for analysis and training on the subject, which recognized the role of the Integrated Community Work Groups to generate transformations in the neighborhoods, promoting citizen participation and using timely diagnoses to identify strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities that exist, and offer solutions to disturbing problems in the town. In the space, initiatives of work groups from different districts were recognized, showing all the potential they have to continue advancing in the fulfillment of this important task, which, according to one of the participants, "is a way of emancipating ourselves, involving the people and their delegates." The President of the Municipal Assembly evaluated the importance of the activity, highlighting that integrated community work works to improve public spaces, promote health and citizen well-being, strengthen the cultural identity of the territory, create sustainable communities, increase citizen participation and municipal governance, among other possibilities. The workshop was attended by the Vice-Rector of the Escuela Superior de Cadres del Estado y del Gobierno (ESCEG), Dr.C Barbara Susana Sánchez Vignau and the head of the Public Administration teaching department, MSc. María Mercedes Machin Hernández, who highlighted the importance of the meeting and the commitment of the school with the municipality, for the generation of capacities of the municipal work teams and the assembly, the advice and the development of joint projects.
