ESCEG participates in a meeting of the country's chief cadres

The Rector of the ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández attended the Meeting on April 27 and 28 with the Directors of Organs, Organisms of the Central Administration of the State, the Provincial Governments and the Special Municipality Isla de la Youth, coordinated by the Head of the Directorate of State and Government Cadres, Miguel Mario Cabrera Castellanos. At the meeting, current issues were addressed, including the implementation of the regulations of the System of Work with the Cadres and Reserves. Emphasis was placed on the Preparation and Improvement of the cadres and in this area, the Rector of the ESCEG presented the methodology and the results achieved in the preparation of more than 5,000 competency profiles in the agricultural sector, at all levels, from the Ministry, the attached institutions, business groups, companies, productive base units and provincial and municipal delegations. This experience is one of the 63 measures approved by the country's leadership to boost food production. Also, the Director of Staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, Julia Muriel Escobar, intervened endorsing the usefulness and importance of the work carried out with the competency profiles, which serves as a guide for the rest of the processes of the work system with the staff, and has taken into account for the selection, promotion, development and evaluation of the cadres. The Rector of the ESCEG also presented the conception of the new Diploma in Public and Business Administration for cadres who occupy or are reserved for decision-making positions, which will begin as a pilot with a first edition in the month of May at the ESCEG and must generalized from the month of September, after the cloisters of the country are prepared.
