ESCEG participates in Agricultural Innovation Workshop
Organized by the Ministries of Higher Education (Mes) and the Ministry of Agriculture (Minag), the Agricultural Innovation Workshop was held on July 6 and 7 at the Cojímar Convention Center, with the participation of academics, scientists, managers, experts and producers, who organized into four commissions that addressed the topics: Agricultural science, technology and innovation system, Agricultural extension policy, Local food systems, Local development, Agroecology policy, Agriculture Program urban, suburban and family, municipal self-sufficiency, agricultural production programs and livestock production programs.
Barbara Susana Sánchez Vignau and Gabriel Montesino Figueroa, vice-chancellor and Head of the Center for Studies in Public and Business Administration, participated in the exchange for the Escuela Superior de Cuadros del Estado y del Gobierno (ESCEG).
The final activity included the participation of the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, who highlighted the importance of the meeting, calling on everyone to continue contributing innovative views to the national agricultural development, especially at the territorial level with the implementation of Local Innovation Systems, the participation of capable managers and the development of local development projects and strategies that contribute to sustainability in food production for the well-being of citizens and the development of the nation.
