The ESCEG National Seminar on structures for the preparation and improvement of university cadres is held

With the participation of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. C. José Saborido Loidi, the Rector of the Superior School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG), Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, as well as M. Sc. Gerardo Montenegro Morán, Director of the Directorate for the Preparation and Upgrading of Cadres of the Ministry of Higher Education (MES), the Second Head of the Directorate of State and Government Cadres, Sergio Aguerrebere González, heads of upgrading cadres of the country's universities , as well as managers, professors and specialists who attend this activity, the National Seminar on structures for the preparation and improvement of university staff was held at the ESCEG.
In the meeting, which had 40 participants, important issues were addressed on the preparation of the cadres and their reservations, in correspondence with the transformations of government management and local development. Dr. C. Mario Ares Sánchez, explained the indications of the Ministry of Higher Education for the implementation of Objective 5, "Improve the preparation and improvement of the cadres and reserves of the State and the Government, with emphasis on the local level, oriented to the transformation of management and modes of action with an innovation approach”. Likewise, the participants were updated on the GESEMAP 2022 Congress; An analysis of the structures that attend to the preparation and improvement of the cadres in the universities was carried out and the Rector of the ESCEG explained to the participants the structure and characteristics of the I Pilot Edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration, which began in the ESCEG last May 16, with more than 30 cadres in decision-making positions, who occupy main responsibilities in the country.
The heads of upgrading of university cadres presented the results of the preparation developed in the COVID stage and the work projections in the current circumstances.
An important meeting that allowed the exchange of experiences between the structures responsible for the preparation of the cadres and their reserves from the country's universities.
