The ESCEG, institution of Excellence in Cuban Higher Education
The Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) was accredited with the superior condition of Excellent by the final vote of the Plenary Session of the National Accreditation Board, held this morning and led by the Executive Secretary of the body. , Dr.C Marcia Noda Hernández. The developed process included the analysis and prior opinion of the Technical Committee of Institutions of the JAN, the result of the evaluation process developed in the center, during December 18 and 21, 2023, with the participation of experts selected from the institutions: University of Computer Sciences, Ministry of Higher Education, University of Havana, Technological University of Havana “José Antonio Echeverría”, College of National Defense, University of the Party “Ñico López” and Agrarian University of Havana, under the leadership of colleagues: Dr C. Marcia Noda Hernández and Dr.C Yoel Hernández Machado and the observation of Dr.C Adalys Palomo Alemán.
The institutional accreditation process to the ESCEG allowed us to analyze the behavior of the variables: Institutional Context and Comprehensive Relevance, Human Resources, Research and Postgraduate Training, Infrastructure and Economic and Social Impact, determining the main strengths and new challenges to be assumed in the future. In the developed process, the quality and professionalism of the faculty, the training model achieved during 12 years of work, the unity and commitment of the workers, international collaboration and the promotion of inter-institutional relations to fulfill the mission of the center were highlighted. the impact achieved on national development and the improvement in the performance of the positions of the cadres who participate in the preparation and improvement actions, the infrastructure conditions of the school that guarantee the quality of its substantive processes, the promotion of science, technology and innovation activity and the Quality Management Model that ensures the work of the institution.
