ESCEG expands collaboration with higher education institutions in Hunan province


The Vice-Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG), Dr.C. Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón, participated from November 6 to 26, 2024, in person in the People's Republic of China, in the Public Administration Management Seminar for Latin American Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic China and organized by the Hunan Foreign Trade Vocational Institute. The Seminar had 35 participants from seven Latin American countries (Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Ecuador and Cuba), and included topics such as: generalities of China; advertising and promotion of public policies; administrative competence; public governance; opening to the outside; rural revitalization; administrative capacity of public officials; communication in public administration; quality training for modern managers; formation and development of the Communist Party of China; Rule of Law; comprehensive governance of the country in accordance with the law; poverty alleviation and reduction; social governance; administrative efficiency; modern administrative communication; among other topics of interest for the management of public administration. The existing bilateral collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba (MINCEX) and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), allowed the participation of the Cuban delegation, who represented the Higher School of Cadres of the State and Government, to the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Tourism.
Within the framework of the visit to the province of Hunan, the ESCEG, represented by the Vice-Rector Dr.C. Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón, signed five memoranda of understanding, to cooperate in the field of public and business administration, with the Hunan Institute of Administration; Changsha Environmental Protection Vocational Institute; Hunan Railway Professional Technological Institute; Hunan City Institute and Hunan Vocational Institute of Nonferrous Materials Technology.
With the signing of these five collaboration instruments, the ties of friendship and cooperation between the ESCEG and institutions of the People's Republic of China are strengthened and expanded.
ESCEG's collaboration with the People's Republic of China began in 2014, with the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese National Academy of Governance.
