ESCEG Develops Methodological Workshop with Authorized Institutions



With the presence of the rector of the Escuela Superior de Cadres del Estado y del Gobierno (ESCEG) Dr.C Mercedes Delgado Fernández and the vice rectors Dr.C. Ana Gloria Pentón Navarro and Dr.C Barbara Susana Sánchez, the second methodological exchange organized by the school with the heads of staff improvement and the coordinators of the Diplomas in Public Administration and Management and Business Management, belonging to the 27 authorized institutions. The main objective of the meeting was to address the organization and preparation of the training process for municipal government management teams, as a continuation of the National Course given to mayors and presidents of municipal assemblies of popular power in 31 municipalities in the country.
The meeting, held by videoconference, served for the rector of the center to transmit the experiences assimilated in the National Course, -developed intensively for a week at the Higher School of the Ñico López Party- and offer indications for the continuity of this preparation in the 169 municipalities of the country, through the formation of work teams to support the fulfillment of such an important task. The participants in the meeting also presented details of the work carried out by the Universities to support this training process, fundamentally oriented towards the development of Municipal Development Strategies.
The meeting also allowed to address particularities, about the forms of preparation of the cadres and reserves of each territory in correspondence with the demands of the current context, emphasizing the diplomas, the training for management teams and for the performance of the position. All the participants evaluated the preparation made very positively and thanked the explanations of the rector, with the commitment to continue advancing in the development of this important task.
