ESCEG Board of Directors evaluates strategic projection for the year 2023

The Board of Directors of the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) held its first meeting of the year 2024, having as an essential point on its agenda the analysis of compliance with the strategic projection of the recently concluded year 2023 and the projection of goals and priorities for the year 2024. At the meeting, the heads of the Postgraduate, Science, Technology and Innovation, University Extension, Human Resources, Information, Communication and Technology, Internationalization and Material Assurance processes presented the goals achieved and recognized the main achievements achieved in the year. The results highlight compliance with the enrollment and graduation indicators of professionals, with a total of 2,724 students enrolled and 2,671 graduates, which exceed the goals established for the period, with the development of 81 teaching activities; the 1,145 cadres and reserves of the State and the Government with a higher level, who received improvement, the 409 professors and specialists in the universities and CUM, prepared in tools and methods of government management, with the use of science and innovation, the 774 teachers from branch schools and professionals from entities that train cadres who receive methodological preparation in the topics of government management and management with the use of science and innovation, attention to doctoral training of internal and external students; the training of cadres from the business sector, with emphasis on the strategic sectors of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, hydraulic and sanitary networks, electrical energy, food production and professional technical services and participation in Projects Associated with National Programs (PAPN) with 80 % of projects of this type, as well as the participation of professors and researchers with tasks in R&D&I projects in strategic sectors. Likewise, international collaboration was valued with 47 actions that contribute to the preparation of cadres, reserves and teachers with the counterpart academies of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, nations with those that have relations through the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding; the strengths of the faculty itself with 70% of Dr. C and 95% of PT and AP and 100% coverage of the staff; the extension activity towards the municipalities of the capital; the computerization of processes and the intensive use of social and scientific network profiles, disseminating the results associated with strategic sectors and the use and availability of the virtual environment and other digital platforms, have led to the preparation and improvement of cadres, management teams and specialists, in the main topics that affect the improvement of their managerial and professional skills.
The material and financial assurance process carried out during the year was also recognized, with all indicators being fulfilled, according to planning, as well as the favorable execution of investments, with 99.95% compliance.
At the meeting, the recently concluded year was assessed as very challenging, derived from the need to reconcile compliance with indicators and processes, together with the preparation for the Institutional Evaluation carried out in the month of December, where the commitment was demonstrated once again. and the unity of the entire ESCEG collective.
