Contributing to the implementation of the approved measures to boost agricultural production from the work of Tables, completion and training of human resources

As a result of the work carried out by experts, scientists, academics, farmers and company directors, OSDE and agriculture delegates, the Cuban Government recently approved 63 measures, of which 30 are considered a priority and others of an immediate nature, to stimulate food production in the nation. Among the working groups to ensure the task, Group No. 5 was formed in charge of the analysis of Tables, Completion and Training of Human Resources, with the participation of representatives of the Central Organ of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian University of Havana, Central University "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Professional Technical Education Ministry of Education, CIMAGT, Osde Agrícola, Postgraduate Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Higher School of State and Government Staff, being its rector Dr.C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, the head of the working group. In total, there are 7 working groups to attend the entire process of implementation of the approved measures.
The collective work of Group No. 5, has allowed defining to date, actions and indicators that provide answers to 4 measures of the 63 approved, giving a comprehensive look at the proposals including continuous training, R & D & I, the activity of cadres, human resource management processes, orientation to the sector's production processes and production chains. The work to boost the nation's agricultural production takes place in a highly complex scenario due to the confrontation with the COVID19 pandemic and the impact of more than 200 measures taken by the Trump administration.
