Cuban women were in the militias, in the Literacy Campaign, in every economic and social program that the nascent revolutionary process undertook at that time and in the years that would follow; She excelled while working and taking care of her children, at universities or at the Peasant Workers College at night. The full and fruitful integration of her into society was, thanks to her rights earned and her daily tenacity, a Revolution within the Revolution.

Not only did she take advantage of every opportunity and space that the new society gave her with wisdom, will and pride, but she claimed and occupied new spaces with constant work, effort to improve and talent. Today, looking at any sphere of national life allows us to see and understand that women are not a minority or complement: they are the protagonists and essential. She is a teacher or professor and academic; she is in the field and research centers, in production centers and in the service industry; she runs companies and ministries; She is active in the creative industries and in the arts and culture, in the state and non-state sectors, in small economic enterprises and in the most important projects that guarantee the future of the country. In 70% of the major research projects and clinical trials that are being carried out as part of the COVID-19 fight, the principal investigator is a woman.
There are also thousands of female faces among those who every day in scientific research and patient care; in laboratories, hospitals and in the red zone; In securing isolation centers and in investigations, they have carried out the national effort against the pandemic or have supported other countries as part of the Henry Reeve medical contingent brigades.

They are present at the different levels of government and are a decisive voice in Parliament. Never in these 60 years has the Cuban woman stopped persevering, she has never stopped educating and at the same time improving herself by raising her educational and professional level. In the midst of such an effort, she never ceased to be central in the family, to achieve a balance between her social and family life, to respond creatively and sacrificially to opportunities, and to boldly challenge and overcome patriarchal stereotypes that still survive in society. .

On this International Women's Day, the greatest congratulations come to all Cuban women, especially to the ESCEG workers, an example of dedication and sacrifice; fighters in teaching, research and innovation. They have demonstrated with their lineage of Mariana that it is possible, her participation has been decisive in all the tasks of the School and this is demonstrated by the results achieved.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
