Closing of the Seminar on National Governance Capacities of Cuba and China

On November 9, the National Governance Capacities Seminar of Cuba and China will close, taught by the National Academy of Governance of China and organized together with the Higher School of State and Government Cadres, held from October 28 to November 9 in the online mode with more than two hours of classes daily and 50 participants. The closing was presided over by Mr. Xie Yutong, Director of the International and Hong Kong and Macao Training Center of the Central Party School (National Academy of Governance) and the Rector of the ESCEG, Dr. C Mercedes Delgado Fernández.
The Rector of the ESCEG highlighted the scientific method, the historical, cultural, ideological and dialectical analysis, with emphasis on the current context, the risks and strategic opportunities at the international and national level on the path to the construction of socialism, the comprehensive approach , the high mastery of the speakers, the professionalism of the organizers and interpreters, the visit in the cloud of good practices, the discipline of the students, their comments and questions, and the virtual platform.
When closing the Seminar, both directors referred to the meeting between President Xi Jinping and the Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, on November 6, which demonstrated the close friendship and brotherhood that unites both nations and the opportunities for cooperation in the new era, which has been developed and consolidated from generation to generation. Rector Mercedes highlighted the words of Prime Minister Manuel Marrero who expressed that both peoples of Cuba and China, "with similar challenges, we have to unite and advance in the construction of a prosperous socialism," and advocated for the exchange of experiences on governance and administration between the two parties, within the framework of the process of updating its legislation in which Cuba is immersed, this seminar constituting a direct impact on the fulfillment of this objective.
The meaning and impact that the collaboration between the Higher School of State and Government Cadres and the Chinese National Academy of Governance has had is extraordinary. With this seminar there are more than 1,050 graduates since 2015 and this year alone three courses have been developed in this same online modality and 3 face-to-face exchanges of delegations of managers and professors, in Cuba and China.
