Bilateral seminar on the digital economy with the Hunan Vocational School of International Business and organized jointly with the ESCEG

From December 3 to 16, the online seminar on the contribution of the Cuban digital economy to sustainable development will be held, taught by the Hunan Professional School of International Business and organized together with the Higher School of State and Government Cadres. of Cuba, as part of the courses that are developed between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba and the Ministry of Commerce of China, also thanking the Embassies of both countries. The rector expressed that With pride and satisfaction we are pleased to inaugurate this course with 71 participants from 48 different institutions, of which 86% are managers, including professors who hold responsibilities in the training of managers from universities and branch schools throughout the country. and the rest are reserves of cadres and specialists. He commented that the ties of friendship and cooperation between the Higher School of State and Government Cadres and various academies and institutions of the People's Republic of China have been consolidated and strengthened since the first Memorandum of Understanding signed in November 2014, to exchange and cooperate in scientific training and research. She highlighted the completion of more than 65 courses with various academies and institutions of the People's Republic of China, through which more than 2,600 cadres, officials and teachers have been prepared.
The President of the Hunan institution expresses the joy and gives a warm welcome from an institution that has been created for more than 60 years, as well as the quality of the professors who will teach the course and the use of the online platform and the support of the teaching organizers, who will favor the learning environment.
Also, Mr. He Bai Hong spoke for the Hunan government, highlighting the collaboration of China, a developing country, with other countries, both for the Belt and Road initiative and for South-South cooperation.
The Seminar is of great significance and includes topics such as digital economy reform, development of China's digital economy and trend outlook, national innovation strategy in digital economy, international development trends and Chinese practices in digital trade , among others.
The speakers mentioned the close friendship and brotherhood between Cuba and China, which in 2023 celebrated 63 years of diplomatic relations.
