Balance of the ESCEG Strategic Project for the year 2024

On February 6, 2025, the Balance of the Strategic Project of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) was carried out, in which the Rector of the institution, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, presented the fulfillment of the process indicators and strategic objectives for the year 2024 to the Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education, chaired by the First Vice Minister, Dr. C. Modesto Gómez Crespo, accompanied by a delegation of several managers, as well as a representative of the State and Government Directorate of Staff. The members of the Board of Directors participated for the ESCEG. 
The Processes that were evaluated were: 1) Postgraduate, 2) Science, Technology and Innovation, 3) University Extension, 4) Human Resources, 5) Information, Communication and Computerization, 6) Internationalization and 7) Material and Financial Assurance, obtaining in 6 of them the qualification of over-compliance and in one the qualification of fulfilled. In 100% of the evaluated objectives (8) the over-fulfillment rating was achieved. 
Among the main results achieved in 2024, the following stand out: having obtained the ESCEG, the accreditation of Excellence by the National Accreditation Board, as well as being an Authorized Institution for doctoral training with the "Organizational Management" Program. The ESCEG continued to prioritize the preparation of cadres and reserves as part of the fulfillment of its mission, through the implementation of 105 teaching activities that combined 34 in main postgraduate forms and 71 in non-main forms with 3,549 graduates in 2024. The delivery of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration (APyE) continued satisfactorily with the completion of editions III, IV and V, editions VIII and IX of the Postgraduate Specialties in Public Administration and in Business Administration and Management and Training for the pool of fundamental positions in editions VI, VII and VIII. Of note are the 2,346 State and Government cadres and reserves with higher level training, of which 1,215 from the business sector, in addition to 1,250 professors and specialists in universities and Municipal University Centers (CUM), trained in government management tools and methods with the use of science and innovation. More than 65% of postgraduate programs are supported in the Virtual Learning Environment. 
The link with the institutions that prepare cadres in the country was strengthened, with 1,363 participants (526 cadres, 881 teachers, 67 specialists, 12 technicians and 226 government participants), through the development of 6 methodological advisory activities and update conferences in virtual mode. 
Due to international collaboration, 30 new legal instruments were signed out of the 49 existing ones and 55 postgraduate actions were developed with 1,066 participants in international trends in public and business administration that contribute to the preparation of staff and professors. Collaborative relations continued to be strengthened with the Academies and Universities of China, Russia, Belarus, Vietnam and Brazil, in addition to courses and seminars related to Public and Business Administration; ESCEG organized 25 bilateral and multilateral seminars with the People's Republic of China.  
At the same time, the main actions and goals to be completed in the Strategic Project for the year 2025 were projected for each Process and Objective.
