Advanced innovation management in the VIII edition of the Specialty in Business Administration and Management

The students of the VIII edition of the Specialty in Business Administration and Management receive the course “Advanced innovation management” from October 5 to 9 at the Higher School of State and Government Staff, taught by Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernandez. The course is taught at the conclusion of the First Integrative Diagnostic Workshop on the topic they address for the completion of the final work. The link is established between the cause-effect diagram and the possible solutions with a focus on innovation to be projected by managers. The innovation management methodology that the students will apply is explained in depth, which will be part of chapter 2 of their theses, which includes the analysis of the effect indicators of the cause-effect diagram (effect and causes) with the identification of the main impact indicators of innovation, whether efficiency or effectiveness, experimental design techniques with variance analysis and 2k, allowing students to identify one of the possible experimental designs for their research, ISO 9001 standards :2018, ISO 56002:2019 and other surveillance and intelligence regulations. The concept of innovation, its scope, classification and contextualization in its final works, the tools of innovation management, the usefulness of strategic foresight, statistical analysis and dashboards and balanced scorecards in decision making are explained. , the innovation project checklist for evaluation, the Project as a tool for the management of the innovation project, as well as what refers to the government management model oriented to innovation and its application in the business field. Finally, the general structure of innovation management is presented so that they can implement it in their final works and form part of the course evaluation.
