The “Seminar on the National Governance Capacities of Cuba and China” opens at the ESCEG
In accordance with the annual planning of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) and covered by the continuity Memorandum of Understanding, signed in July 2023, with the National Academy of Governance of China, it was inaugurated on 28 October 2023, with 50 participants, the “Seminar on the National Governance Capacities of Cuba and China”, organized jointly by both institutions.
The Seminar will be taught from October 28 to November 10, 2023, online, using the Academy's Peng Cloud Platform, and includes the following topics: speeches by Xi Jinping on the construction of socialist culture; worldview and methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; Xi Jinping's theory of China's modernization; basic model and development of contemporary world socialism; application of innovation-driven development strategy; improving digital governance capacity; innovative practice of electronic administration; strengthening the construction of the digital society and developing government governance capacity within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the opening, the Rector of the ESCEG, Dr.C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, thanked the National Academy of Governance of China for such an important Seminar and highlighted the ties of friendship and cooperation between both institutions, which have been consolidated and strengthened since the first Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2014, to exchange and cooperate in training and scientific research.
