Employees of the ESCEG pay tribute to Martí on the occasion of the 169th anniversary of his birth.
This morning, the ESCEG workers paid tribute to Martí on the 169th anniversary of his birth.
José Julián Martí Pérez, National Hero of Cuba. He was a man of high principles, with a Latin American and internationalist vocation; impeccable personal conduct, and with human qualities that sometimes seem insurmountable. A Cuban of universal projection who went beyond the borders of the time in which he lived to become the greatest Latin American political thinker of the 19th century.
His life, and his work, his human and revolutionary conditions place him before our eyes as a true example of an integral communist, worthy of imitation.
Jose Marti. He lived and died for a project for the country, which did not yet exist in his time; But millions followed him, and fell in love with this project, because the great historical projects, even if they are formulated by exceptional leaders, are only viable when they synthesize the aspirations of many human beings.
His intellectual creation, his example, his life and his politics serve as inspiration, he worked and worked for the Revolution under humility, modesty, honesty and poverty, with self-sacrifice and unlimited sacrifice, for which he also earned the reference of Apostle.
On July 26, 1973, our historic leader, referring to Martí, stated: …Martí taught us his ardent patriotism, his passionate love for freedom, dignity and human decorum, his repudiation of despotism and his unlimited faith in the people…
“WE WILL ALWAYS BE LOYAL AND INVINCIBLE FOLLOWERS OF MARTÍ”
