First Global Innovation Forum of the CILAPE Convention 2026

The 1st Global Innovation Forum featured a presentation by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marin, who addressed the topic of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in public administration innovation. Mayda Mauri Pérez, President of the BioCubaFarma Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, discussed strategies for economic and social transformations aimed at innovative companies within BioCubaFarma. Mariela Gallardo Capote, Vice President of the Azcuba Sugar Group, spoke about innovation and business management in the sugar sector: leadership for productive transformation. José Luis Solleiro Rebolledo, a researcher at the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), presented the challenges for adopting artificial intelligence in industry. Finally, Yosvany Pupo Otero, First Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, presented the transformation of governance in domestic trade in Cuba. The Forum was led by the Rector of ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández.
