Training for Presidents of Business Groups and Boards of Directors for the implementation of economic and social transformations

From September 24 to 26, the “Training for Presidents of Business Groups and Government Boards” organized jointly with the National Institute of State Business Assets (INAEE) was held at the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) with the participation of more than 130 managers, including Presidents of Business Groups and Government Boards of the country. The training aimed to provide knowledge and skills to cadres for the development and implementation of Economic and Social Transformations in the different thematic axes, particularly those provided for in Axis 1 related to the state company.

The inauguration was chaired by the member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC and Head of its Economic-Productive Department Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo who made a speech on the economic and social transformations. The training addressed the transformations approved in Decree Law 120 and its complementary regulations. The legal provision establishes the general principles of organization and operation of the Cuban state business system, with the purpose of promoting its transformation and development, under the leadership of the National Institute of State Business Assets.

There were interventions from the Ministers of Economy and Planning and the Finance and Prices, Vice Minister of Labor and Social Security and top representatives of the National Office of Statistics and Information, National Office of Tax Administration, Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba, Directorate of State and Government Staff, Institute of State Business Assets and the Institute of Non-State Economic Actors. The training sessions were chaired by the President of the National Institute of State Business Assets (INAEE), Roberto Ricardo Marrero and the Rector of the ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández.

During the program, the Presidents of Grupo Empresariales presented their mission and the catalog of products and services, offering opportunities for the chaining of the economic actors of the Cuban state business system, as well as their main needs. In the last session, the Presidents of the business groups presented a summary of the roadmap to implement business transformations (Axis 1) through Decree Law 120. The Training was closed by the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, with an intervention on the economic and social transformations approved in the country.
