The Rector of ESCEG participates in the VII International Scientific-Practical Conference at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration

The 7th International Scientific-Practical Conference "Personality in Management Systems" was held at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) on March 26 and 27, with over 450 participants from 12 countries. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Evaluation and Development of Management Personnel of the Higher School of Government Personnel Preparation of the Presidential Academy.

The main event of the first day was a plenary discussion on integration as a mechanism for social, organizational, and personal development. The Rector of the Presidential Academy, Alexey Komissarov, delivered a welcoming address. Rectors and vice-rectors from countries such as Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres of the Republic of Cuba, and Nguyen Ba Trien, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration of the Ho Chi Minh Political Academy (Vietnam), participated in the plenary session via online platform. Aigul Muratovna Kalchakeeva, Rector of the Presidential Academy of Public Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Zh. Abdrakhmanov; and Jasur Shavkatovich Salikhov, Rector of the Presidential Academy of Public Policy and Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This plenary session was moderated by Ilya Sheburakov, Deputy Director of the Higher School for Government Personnel Training of the Presidential Academy. The experts addressed integration as a mechanism for social, organizational, and personal development; the influence of national and cultural characteristics on the development of management approaches; the preparation, selection, and professional advancement of managers for the public administration system; the specific characteristics of a modern manager; and emphasized the common need for effective, sustainable, and responsible leaders. The Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres, Mercedes Delgado Fernández, presented the paper “Model of Generic Competencies for Managers in Cuba,” in which she detailed the model, the 13 generic competencies for managers, the code of ethics, the evaluation of competencies for managers in public and private administration, and the relationship between the competencies of managers in Cuba and the meta-competencies of managers in the Russian Federation.

In addition, the conference includes expert discussions, roundtables, and presentations of the results of scientific research and developments. The resulting materials, in the form of articles, will be published in the scientific-practical journal “Personality: Resources and Potential.”
