11th edition of the training program for key personnel in the youth academy

On January 26, 2026, the 11th edition of the Training Program for Key Positions begins. During the first week, participants will receive intensive training at the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG). This training will cover tools for diagnosing and projecting solutions and innovations to address problems or opportunities for improvement. These solutions will be implemented at the municipal level in teams of three cadres from different fields and sectors. Of the topics identified, two are related to increasing food production in the municipalities, particularly rice; another focuses on agricultural production, sugarcane, and its derivatives; and the fourth addresses the export of non-hotel products from tourist destinations. During the training, participants interact with key state and government officials, who provide updates on policies, regulations, and strategies. They also participate in activities at the central government level. At the inauguration, they were welcomed by the Head of the Directorate of State and Government Personnel, Miguel Mario Cabrera Castellanos, and the Rector of ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández.
