Online seminar with the Shandong Management Academy

On December 16, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. Cuban time, an online seminar on China's governance experiences was held by the Shandong Academy of Management, with whom the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) has had a collaboration agreement since 2019. The exchange was chaired by the Rector of ESCEG, Mercedes Delgado Fernández, and by the Vice President of the Shandong Academy of Management, Qiu Lei, who delivered opening remarks. State and government officials, ESCEG staff, and professors were invited to the seminar. Two lectures were given, one on the interpretation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, delivered by Wang Yiguo, Deputy Director and Professor of the Department of Politics and Law at the Shandong Academy of Management. The second conference addressed the modernization practices of Shandong in China, presented by Sun Xiuting, Associate Professor at the Institute of International Exchange of the Shandong Academy of Management. Also present were Wang Chaohua, Dean of the Institute of International Exchange of the Shandong Academy of Management, and Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón, Vice-Rector for International Relations at ESCEG. At the closing ceremony, the top representatives emphasized the importance of collaboration, the significance of the conferences, and the need for systematic exchange. The Rector of ESCEG asked the speakers to publish on these topics in the Cuban Journal of Public and Business Administration and invited the participants from the Shandong Academy of Management to attend the 1st International Convention on Innovation and Leadership in Public and Business Administration (CILAPE2026), to be held from December 12 to 16 at ESCEG, coinciding with the institution's 15th anniversary.
