The ESCEG concludes the Refresher Course for Mayors of the municipalities of Boyeros and Cotorro

The Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) concluded the Refresher Course for mayors of the municipalities of Boyeros and Cotorro in Havana province. The course, aimed at mayors and their municipal management teams, sought to provide updates on topics impacting municipal management.

The training was conducted with the participation of faculty members and experts in workshops that focused on innovation, legal, economic, accounting, financial, demographic, communication, and digital transformation issues, among other topics of interest.

The course's teaching and learning process was enhanced through audiovisual materials, debates, and the development of a final team project. This project provided solutions to fundamental and strategic problems for the participating municipalities. The issues evaluated in the final projects addressed solid waste collection, housing deterioration, population aging, roads and wastewater disposal, municipal tourism, and food production.

Following the presentation of the results, a graduation ceremony was held for all participants, with the participation of the school's rector, Dr. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, vice-rectors, and faculty members. In her closing remarks, the rector highlighted the participants' commitment and responsibility throughout the course, emphasizing the continuation of the presented projects, which the institution will continue to implement in each region.
