The First International Symposium "CUBATRABAJA" on Labor, Social Security, and Sustainable Development was held at the Havana Convention Center on June 24 and 25. The School of State and Government Executives (ESCEG) was represented by faculty professor Dr. C. Marlenys Martínez Clapé and Dr. Erick Robles Torres, a graduate of the 8th edition of the Public Administration Specialization Program, on the panel "Health Policy and Social Care in Cuba."

The discussion addressed the country's approach to the concept of One Health, viewed as a strategy for achieving optimal health for people, animals, plants, and the environment (through prevention, control, and rapid response to any hazard) and through intersectoral and multidisciplinary collaboration from the communities to the national level.

The discussions recognized the importance and timeliness of the topic and its links to other social projects developed by the nation with a preventive and educational focus. Present at the meeting were Marta Elena Feitó Cabrera, head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS), First Deputy Minister Yaniris Hernández Vento, as well as other representatives from the ministry, social workers, and experts in social security and labor issues.
