The Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Cuba gives the Conference at ESCEG: Confronting corruption. Transparency and ethics for institutional strengthening in Cuba

As part of the Legal Basis for Management Course Program, students of the VI edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration exchanged with Marcos Antonio Caraballo de la Rosa, Deputy Attorney General of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Cuba.
Through case studies, the concept of corruption in the exercise of public office and the different forms it can take are discussed; the causes and consequences of corruption and the current challenges for confronting it are identified, as well as the need to promote practical measures to combat corruption, from a perspective of transparency and accountability, in order to foster a culture of integrity and ethics in public management. The role of State and Government officials in confronting corruption is highlighted.
