ESCEG expands its international collaboration with universities in the Russian Federation



The Rector of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG), Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, participated, along with representatives of 13 other Cuban universities, in the V Cuba-Russia Rectors Forum, which was held on September 21 and 22 in Moscow. The important event included the participation of the Cuban Embassy in that sister nation.
The Cuban delegation that participated in the Forum was headed by the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Dr. C. Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar. Several rectors of universities in the European nation also participated.
Among the collaboration instruments signed by the Cuban delegation that participated in the Forum, there are 5, signed by the ESCEG with the following Russian universities:
1) MoU with the Moscow State University, M.V. Lomonosov,
2) MoU with St. Petersburg State University,
3) MoU with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation,
4) MoU with the Faculty of Public Administration of the State University of Moscow, M.V. Lomonosov and
5) MoU with the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University, M.V. Lomonosov.
The cooperation instruments have, among others, the following purposes: to develop joint educational programs; carrying out joint research and education projects; exchange of information, teaching materials and scientific reports; organization of conferences, seminars, workshops and courses; and, joint publications.
During the morning of the 21st, the Rector held a fruitful exchange with the Russian Academy of Economics and National Public Administration (RANEPA), attached to the President of the Russian Federation, with very good results to expand the collaboration between both institutions, towards new Projects.
Cooperation ties with universities in the Russian Federation are expanded and strengthened.
