ESCEG participates in the "Seminar on updating and deepening the business development and transformation process in Cuba", held in the People's Republic of China.
From July 4 to 22, 2023, the "Seminar on updating and deepening the business development and transformation process in Cuba" was held in Beijing, sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission of China. The Cuban delegation was made up of 25 participants from different sectors and organizations such as MINCEX, MES, MINDUS, MITRANS, MINTUR, INRH, MFP, BCC, and MINCOM, as well as universities (UH, UPR, and ESCEG) and business groups such as BIOCUBAFARMA. For the ESCEG participated the MSc. Michelle Pérez Acosta, Computer Science Specialist at the center. The seminar gave an overview of the history of the reform and economic opening of the People's Republic of China until its update at the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Lectures and good practice visits were held to first level facilities related to key and strategic sectors for the economic, technological and social development of this country. The scenario was propitious to exchange partisan ideologies on: the development and consolidation of a modern socialist system, the leadership of the Communist Party, the material and spiritual well-being of the people as the main objective, the processes of popular democracy associated with decisions on property of the fundamental means of production, the strengthening of cultural and socialist self-confidence, and tempering partisan ideas to the characteristics of the country, in order to achieve the renewal of the political system and a greater capacity for Government. The seminar was of great benefit to the Cuban delegation since it showed the guidelines to follow for the development of our economy, promoting improvement actions that in the short term have a direct impact on meeting the needs of the Cuban people.
