The "Cuban Ministerial Seminar on Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese particularities for a new era" begins

From November 17 to 30, 2022, the "Cuban ministerial seminar on Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era" will be held online, given by the National Academy of the Interior of China and organized jointly with the Higher School of State and Government Cadres of Cuba (ESCEG) within the framework of bilateral collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba (MINCEX) and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) with the decisive participation of the Embassies of both countries.
The opening remarks, by the Chinese academy, were given by Mr. Gong Weibin, Vice President of the National Academy of Governance of China and by His Excellency Mr. Ma Hui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Cuba.
For Cuba, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of the ESCEG, delivered the opening words, who highlighted that the Seminar has 50 participants, 80% of whom are managers between the vice minister, general directors, directors and others, of 33 different institutions represented by 16 ministries, 2 State bodies with 2 Presidents of the People's Supreme Court, the Council of State, 2 national entities, the Mariel Special Development Zone, research centers, companies from strategic sectors of the industries biotechnological and food companies, members and officials of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Consul of the Republic of Cuba in Shanghai, as well as 8 directors of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres and the Higher School of the "Ñico López" Party ”, represented by their Rectors and Vice Rectors of their institutions.
This Seminar has been organized within the framework of the celebration of the XX National Congress of the Communist Party of China, held from October 16 to 22, 2022. The Rector of the ESCEG took the opportunity to congratulate the successful celebration of the Congress, convinced that the The Communist Party of China and the people will achieve the goals of comprehensively building a powerful modern socialist country by the year 2035 and until the middle of the present century with the transformation of China into a powerful, prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious, and modern socialist country. beautiful.
He also recalled the close ties of friendship and cooperation between the Higher School of State and Government Cadres and the National Academy of Government of China, consolidated and strengthened since the first Memorandum of Understanding signed in November 2014, between the institutions, to exchange and cooperate in training and scientific research in the fulfillment of their missions. From that date to the present, they have developed, in Cuba and China, exchanges on very relevant issues of public administration and the business system for the preparation of almost two thousand cadres and teachers through more than 45 courses organized with seven academies and institutions. of the People's Republic of China.
The Rector of the ESCEG ended her speech by saying: "We are sure that we will be able to show once again the close historical ties of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation that exist between our countries and peoples, strengthened in these 62 years of diplomatic relations with the conviction that socialism with the leadership of the Communist Party is the best path forward for our peoples".
After the opening, Vice President of the National Academy of Government of China Gong Weibin delivered the first live lecture of the seminar titled, "Spirit Report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China."
