ESCEG participates in academic exchange with the Academy of Administration attached to the President of the Republic of Belarus




Under the Cooperation Agreement, signed on February 21, 2017, between the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) and the Administration Academy attached to the President of the Republic of Belarus, it was held on June 27, 2022 an academic exchange between both institutions. The opening words of the virtual exchange were given, on the Cuban side, by Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, Rector of the ESCEG and, on the Belarusian side, by Viacheslav Viktorovich Danilovich, Rector of the homologous academy. On behalf of the ESCEG, in addition to the Rector, Ana Gloria Navarro Pentón, Vice Rector who deals with international relations, José Miguel Valdés Portal, Head of the Computer Science Department, and Michelle Pérez Acosta, Specialist in Computer Science, attended the virtual meeting. Representing the Academy of Administration attached to the President of the Republic of Belarus, in addition to the Rector, Olga Soldatova, First Vice-Rector, Valentina Shvaiko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Tatiana Prannik, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Educational Programs, attended. And there was the participation, at the headquarters of the Belarusian academy, of Santiago Pérez Benítez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus. At the meeting, cooperation proposals for the year 2022 were analyzed, reconciling between the parties the issues to be discussed in future videoconferences. For the month of September 2022, the development of a Panel for the exchange of experiences on the National Development Plan of Belarus was proposed, proposing, for the month of October 2022, the holding of a second Panel for the exchange of experiences on the National Plan for Economic and Social Development of Cuba until 2030 (PNDES 2030). Both parties will convene representatives of the Ministries of Economy and Planning of both countries and other institutions related to the issue for the two meetings. In the exchange, it was agreed to give continuity to the publication of scientific articles in the journals of both institutions and to develop joint projects, on issues related to the preparation of public and business administration cadres. Both parties considered the digital transformation as a topic of strategic interest, both for Cuba and for Belarus. Collaborative relations between the Higher School of State and Government Cadres (ESCEG) and the Academy of Administration attached to the President of the Republic of Belarus are consolidated.
