Inauguration of the IV Edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration

On February 19, the IV Edition of the Diploma in Public and Business Administration at the Higher School of State and Government Staff (ESCEG) opens with 34 students who occupy decision-making management positions, belonging to 29 bodies, central administration organizations of the state, national entities and different business groups. The event was chaired by the Vice Prime Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. C. Modesto Gómez Crespo, and the Rector of the ESCEG, Dr. C. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, who gave them a speech. She also spoke and welcomed to the ESCEG one of the students of the VIII edition of the Specialty in Public Administration and Director of the National Institute of Endocrinology of the Ministry of Public Health, Doctor Erick Robles Torres. The Rector of the ESCEG explained to them the characteristics of this preparation, which will last 11 weeks, in which the students' management responsibilities are combined with teaching activities, although more than 60% of this period will be fully dedicated to the teaching and learning process aimed at generating skills and updating the main decisions made by the country's leadership, public policies and regulations. You will defend a final work, on a topic prioritized and approved by your bosses, aimed at the solution of a complex problem or opportunity for improvement, comprehensively diagnosed with the implementation by you of an innovation project. The Rector also explained to the students about the Virtual Learning Environment, which includes the documentation of the program and the courses, legislation, software, bibliography and other complementary materials, a means by which online communication with the students is guaranteed. Through the Automated Student Management System they will register and in their positions they have a collection of books that collects various knowledge and tools, the result of the experience accumulated throughout the editions of diplomas and specialties. A survey will be administered weekly, which allows systematic monitoring of the teaching process, in addition to having the coordinators and management staff in the classroom.
